Computing is taught as a discrete subject with links made to other subjects where appropriate.

We use Teach Computing to deliver our curriculum, where skills are built upon progressively as the children move through the school. The scheme was developed by the National Centre for Computing Education. There is a strong focus on developing children’s understanding of key concepts and how computers and computer systems are used in the modern world.

The safety of children online is also a key component of our curriculum. These skills are taught explicitly during all sessions where technology is in use, as well as during specific e-safety events and during our PSHE sessions.
